Mango Avocado Salsa

During the summer months, our bodies tend to crave cooling, raw foods instead of heavy, cooked foods. This recipe is very easy and makes a great appetizer, snack or even a light meal. If I had to pick one word to describe it, it'd be: Refreshing!

Mango Avocado Salsa

Yields 1-2 Servings

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 mango (peeled and diced)

  • 1 avocado (peeled and diced)

  • Juice of 1/2 lime (1 tbsp)

  • 3 tbsp cilantro (minced)

  • Sea salt (to taste)

  • Chili powder (to taste)

DIRECTIONS

  1. Combine mango, avocado, and cilantro in a bowl

  2. Add lime juice, sea salt and chili powder

  3. Toss until well mixed  so mango, avocado, and cilantro are fully coated

VARIATIONS

  • Add diced red onions

  • Add diced jalepeño pepper for added spice

  • Use as the filling for lettuce wraps, nori wraps, or spring rolls

  • Serve with chips

  • Double or triple the recipe for big groups!
