Raw Food Detox: Day 3
/Day 3: Success! One more day...
I had another food related dream last night...though not quite as vivid as the previous night's burrito dream.
I was waiting in a 1-2 hour line at a restaurant and it was pouring rain outside. After a few minutes, I decided I couldn't wait any longer so I left and offered to drive some people home since apparently no one had their cars. I ended up driving home 7 people but when my alarm went off at 5:10am in real life, in my dream we had barely made it out of the parking lot because crazy things kept happening with the people in the car that got in the way (like getting out of the car and breaking out into song!) I have a feeling that I probably never got to eat dinner that night in my dream. These food dreams intrigue me!
Lost another 2 lbs today (again, unusual...most likely water weight, not fat loss), so now I'm back to the weight I was at before I felt "off balance". Ahh, it's good to be back :-) That's 4.5 lbs of junk that got released from my system...really makes me appreciate starting from a "clean slate" when I'm done with this and be more mindful about what I'm eating so that I avoid feeling off again.
While I do miss doing cardio workouts, I've enjoyed the break and the excuse to do hot yoga and walk as my primary forms of exercise.
I went to 6am yoga at a different studio today and it was great...worth the early morning to start off the day feeling so cleansed. Tomorrow I'm looking forward to sleeping in and working out in my apartment, which will be nice because I didn't get my full 8 hours of sleep last night. Wednesday will be another 5:10am wake-up day, so I'll need to get in as much sleep as I can get tonight!
Green Smoothies for the day:
Green Smoothie #1: Spinach, banana, mango, blueberry, water. <-- AMAZING combination, WOW!
Green Smoothie #2: Romaine, apple, banana, celery, parsley, cilantro, lemon (juice), cayenne pepper, water. <-- Great combo for when I don't want anything sweet...chock full of nutrients and minimal sugar!
All I ate today was two green smoothies and a salad. I was shocked that I wasn't all that hungry...went several hours between meals and ate a very small dinner.
Curious to see how I feel tomorrow on my last day...more hungry? Less hungry?
I haven't had any cravings during this detox and I think that the 3-4 day range works well for me. I love how only a few days of eating raw food can bring me back into balance. I'm not dreading tomorrow, but I have to admit that I'm feeling "done" with the detox right now so I'm ready to reintroduce other foods into my diet on Wednesday.
